If
you are traveling in the months of July and August, don’t
miss the annual Antigua Carnival. Antigua’s Carnival
is a 10-day festival that begins in the last week of July
and celebrates the earliest abolition of slavery in the British
Caribbean. During the festival, visitors are able to experience
and view elaborate costumes, pageants, talent shows and traditional
Antiguan music. In addition to these major activities, the
Carnival includes numerous smaller events, such as food fairs,
concerts and cultural shows.
