Once a month, after the full moon, Provos water light up with Glow Worms, which sparkle during their mating ritual. Many companies offer evening cruises to watch these awe-inspiring creatures under the stars. A few businesses on Turks & Caicos offer tours of the ecological diversity of the islands. Such excursions include Flamingo Pond and the ruins of Wades Green Plantation of North Caicos and the nature trails, conch bar and caves of Middle Caicos. The variety of underwater marvels to be seen include hundreds of tropical fish, spectacular coral formations, and possibly sting rays, sharks and dolphins.
